Thiago Emiliano da Silva is a center-back for the Brazil national team and a professional footballer from Brazil.

He is known for being one of the best defenders of all time and one of the best in the world. He is also known for his discipline and ability to lead.

Silva started his professional club career in 2002 as a midfielder for RS Futebol. While at Juventude, he switched to a defensive role.

In 2004, at age 19, he signed with Porto and went on loan to Dynamo Moscow, where he was hospitalized with tuberculosis. 

When he was better, he joined Fluminense and helped them win a Copa do Brasil.

Silva moved to AC Milan in 2009 for a reported fee of €8 million and helped them win the Serie A championship.
