Robert Lewandowski is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for La Liga club Barcelona and is the captain of the Poland national team.
Lewandowski is thought to be one of the best strikers of all time because of his positioning, technique, and finishing. He is also one of the most successful players in Bundesliga history.
Lewandowski was the top scorer in the third and second levels of Polish soccer with Znicz Pruszków.
He then moved to the top level with Lech Pozna and helped them win the Ekstraklasa in 2009–10. In 2010
He moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he won two straight Bundesliga titles and the award for most goals scored in the league.
In 2013, he also played in the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final with Dortmund.
Before the 2014–15 season started, Lewandowski agreed to play for Dortmund's rivals Bayern Munich for free.
Lewandowski was a key part of Bayern winning the UEFA Champions League in 2019–20, which was part of a treble.
He is one of only two players, along with Johan Cruyff, to win the European treble by scoring the most goals in all three competitions. He is also the first player to do this by himself.
He has earned more than 130 caps and played for Poland at the UEFA Euro 2012, Euro 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the Euro 2020.
