Erick All meets firefighter who saved him as a baby

The Michigan tight end’s life changed when his son, Houston was born just hours before the Wolverines kicked off against Colorado State in their season opener.

Then after the game, All met the person who saved his life over 21 years ago.

First responders rescued All from a burning home in Richmond, Indiana on Feb. 13, 2001, and firefighter Tom Broyles resuscitated the five-month-old baby.

a 2021 all-Big Ten honoree, spent 10 days in an Indianapolis hospital recovering but didn’t suffer

any permanent damage from the fire. He was too long to remember the accident,

but it gave him a new outlook on life.

The heroic story was featured on Saturday’s ESPN College GameDay.

“It makes me appreciate life more,” All said in an interview with GameDay.

“It makes me attack each day.”
