Linda Paulson, a Republican running for the Utah state Senate and famous for her popular campaign video where she raps her message for the midterm elections, says she wants to drown out the “haters” and that “God, family, and the Constitution” are all that America needs.

“Our daughter Brenda wrote this rap in honor of my birthday in May, which she performed in front of our entire family. We admired it. Can you do it for my campaign, I asked.” Paulson spoke exclusively to Fox News Digital about the inspiration behind the rap in her commercial.

The creative campaign was unveiled earlier this month and went popular on social media, garnering roughly 200,000 views on YouTube in a short period of time.

Not everyone was amused by the video once it gained widespread attention, as Paulson explained “It really upset our daughter, but the Republican candidate was upbeat and assured her that there would be detractors. Even if you simply did them well, some people will still dislike you. So it’s all right. Simply be joyful. You made a wise decision.”

“I adore this nation. Being free is a blessing. Exact words my daughter used. However, freedom also entails responsibility. Additionally, I believe that when the government wants to reward you, send you checks, or anything, you feel better about yourself when you’re working hard. We both put in a lot of work. We had a limited budget. We gave our everything. We lived a happy life with our children, so I know it’s possible “As Paulson said.

The Republican nominee revealed her personal beliefs and emphasized the value of the US Constitution. “God, family, and the Constitution are essential. Because if we don’t know what our rights are, we won’t be able to recognize when they are taken away, I believe that we need to be aware of what the Constitution teaches “Paulson declared.

Despite some negative feedback from the video, Paulson also received praise, particularly from conservative rapper Bryson Gray who decided to reimagine the advertisement.

“District 12 is going to flourish if you vote for Linda. Choose Linda Paulson to win. Why are you waiting? She’s going to put Utah on the map.” There’s no way Paulson is going to lose, Gray rapped, urging Utahns to vote for her.
