Randy Gregory apologizes for punch that led to fine

Both players were immediately suspended for one game by the NFL on Monday in response. Following the suspension’s announcement, Gregory issued the following statement:

Greetings, Broncos Nation. I want to express my gratitude to all of my wonderful teammates, employees, and supporters who have helped me get through this difficult season. I want to use this chance to express my sincere regret for what I did yesterday. Randy Gregory apologizes The game was emotional and depressing, and it did not represent my character. My objective is to play with pride, finish the season strong, and move forward as a contributor to the solution rather than the problem. I’m grateful.

Gregory received two 15-yard penalties prior to the post-game punch, and he was then benched. In six games (three starts) with the Broncos this season, he has recorded seven quarterback hits and two sacks combined.
