Football’s greatest season

The return of club football in the DStv Premiership, Premier League, Serie A, and LaLiga, all in the splendor of HD live on SuperSport, makes August a joyful month.

Mamelodi Sundowns, the defending champions, will begin their campaign on Friday against Cape Town City. All other opening games are scheduled to take place over the course of the weekend.

At the weekend’s Premier League season-opening match between Arsenal and Crystal Palace, expect nonstop action.

For the third consecutive year, Arsenal’s Premier League season opens with a London derby. The season opener of 2021–22 saw them lose 2-0 at Brentford after winning 3-0 at Fulham in 2020–21.

On Wednesday, August 10, the two teams will meet in Helsinki for the first time in 62 years as they compete for the Uefa Super Cup. It will be the ultimate showdown in Europe.

The month of August will be further illuminated by LaLiga and Serie A, so stay tuned or stay connected to never miss a moment of Football’s Greatest Season.
