2023 WWE Rankings: Who Will Be the Top 10 Stars in 1 Year ?

Since it last existed, interest and fascination surrounding the company’s product have increased with Triple H’s appointment as the head of WWE Creative.

It raises concerns regarding the product’s appearance and the circumstances in which Superstars will find themselves during the following 12 months.

Who will appear frequently on WWE television, how will they be utilized, and who may dethrone Roman Reigns as the uncontested face of the company?

As it turns out, the top names in the corporation seem destined to remain mostly unchanged, albeit the creative may change for the better and the product will improve as a result.

10. Kevin Owens

Under the current administration, Kevin Owens has rediscovered his edge and is being treated like the superstar he is.

The former creative powerhouse in the company, a consummate public speaker and in-ring performer with a resume that speaks for itself, followed up his WrestleMania 38 main event match against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with a feud against…Ezekiel.

The tone change that Triple H implemented for KO quickly put that mistake right and restored him to the dominance he had in NXT and in the beginning of his main roster tenure.

On the August 15 episode of Raw, the Canadian, who now appears to be a dangerous threat to win any championship he puts his sights on, stepped up to Drew McIntyre and engaged the No. 1 contender in a fantastic promo before facing off against the Scot.

When at his finest, Owens is a sincere main eventer who engages viewers and can sell a pay-per-view headliner to death in a single promo. With that plus Triple H’s more grounded creative efforts, you have a man who is primed to significantly advance in the WWE over the course of the following year.

In his current year as a contender on the company’s primary roster, Owens may very well be having his greatest year.

In fact, when we look back on these rankings in a year, this No. 10 spot might seem insulting.

9. Bianca Belair

Since defeating Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, Bianca Belair has been one of the sport’s leading babyfaces. She increased her notoriety by defeating Becky Lynch twice on pay-per-view. It is unlikely that her star will dim any time soon because it is glowing as brilliantly as it has ever.

The Raw women’s champion, who has a conflict with Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky, will probably serve as the focus of the women’s division for the foreseeable future. Making the case for her ongoing success well into 2023 is aided by the fact that she is now over, giving her best performance yet, and only getting better.

The return of Becky Lynch (more on her later) will probably cause her to temporarily regress at some point, but The EST of WWE is a real star who has repeatedly shown her worth. The fact that she debuted in NXT under Triple H only serves to support the case.

Belair may not be the champion and she may not have another memorable WrestleMania match planned for 2023, but she will still be an important player in WWE and one for whom the creative team has something substantial planned.

8. Charlotte Flair

One superstar who flourished under the previous administration and will continue to do so under Triple H and his creative staff is Charlotte Flair.

She became well-known in NXT after Triple H singled her out as one of the franchise’s top talents. She is the daughter of The Game’s favorite wrestler and coach, Ric Flair. She became a trailblazer and possibly the most well-known female wrestler in the history of the organization.

She participated in some of the most memorable matches over the past ten years and helped change women’s wrestling in the WWE. She lost her SmackDown women’s championship as a result of a submission during one such match, a physical altercation with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash.

When The Queen returns to the blue brand, it’s feasible that she will overcome Liv Morgan and win title No. 14, but don’t be shocked if she once again faces Rowdy. 2023 WWE Rankings.

Due to the equity she has developed with fans through her character and in-ring work, she will be positioned at the front of top feuds and in matches that have amazing heat even if she does not engage in a feud with Rousey and fails to win back the title.

She will undoubtedly be a top-10 talent in 2023, and throughout the course of the following year, she might even surpass her ranking on this list.

7. Seth Rollins

Every Monday night, Seth Rollins has demonstrated his prowess as a performer by winning random matchups and midcard events without suffering any negative effects.

Some of that should be owed to his dedication to his role, but most of it can be related to his relationship with the fans, developed over years of excellent matches and numerous main event pushes.

Expect The Visionary’s role to grow under a new creative leadership team, led by a person who both cautioned Rollins about his stubbornness early in his developmental phase and then collaborated with him as The Authority’s “chosen one” in the middle of the 2010s.

When he played mind games with Roman Reigns before the Royal Rumble PPV and was the only one to annoy him to the point where he lost his cool and was disqualified, the world first realized how entertaining a performer he can be. He is a main event competitor waiting for his next headline program while appearing on the midcard. 2023 WWE Rankings.

That should fall under Triple H, and the eager crowds that want to support him will warmly accept it. The fact that people chant along to his theme song and recognize the effort he puts into every bout, including the three matches this year that were contenders for Match of the Year against Cody Rhodes, proves that.

6. Ronda Rousey

When it comes to Ronda Rousey, Vince McMahon has failed to recognize what Triple H already knows: fans don’t want a one-dimensional, chatty babyface. They desire a no-nonsense badass who destroys everyone who stands in her way.

The ex-UFC fighter has spent the last three weeks making up for six months of poor booking and laughably horrible promos by creating hell, killing security personnel, and disobeying the suspension of WWE official Adam Pearce.

The outcome? Crowds that are going crazy for Rousey after nearly turning against her two months ago.

It doesn’t matter that the former SmackDown women’s champion hasn’t yet taken on Liv Morgan, who controversially defeated her at SummerSlam. Instead of setting her up against Morgan entirely, Triple H has booked Rousey against the authority in WWE, knowing full well that this is a classic tale that will always be popular with the audience.

The Baddest Woman on Earth has profited and now seems to be the world-beating powerhouse she was always meant to be. She is no longer the diluted babyface who talks excessively and was compelled to participate in sports entertainment rather than being free to be herself.

Rousey has the support of her supporters, and if the creative team can continue to give her momentum, the promos still need work.

She has every reason to be a significant player in WWE in 2023.

5. Karrion Kross

Make no mistake: By bringing Karrion Kross and Scarlett back to WWE, Triple H did not make a bold statement that they would not be among the top 10 Superstars a year from now.

The former two-time NXT champion has already made his presence known by interjecting into the conflict between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns and demonstrating that the previous administration was mistaken in choosing them over him.

With the assistance of Scarlett, Kross has the presentation to be a focal point in Triple H’s creative endeavors. Kross has the appearance and in-ring explosiveness to be a main event performer for the foreseeable future. He will be, too. 2023 WWE Rankings.

By the end of August 2023, Kross might have won the title, so do not be shocked. The Game has shown a desire to drive him to that point, and now that Roman Reigns is no longer employed full-time by WWE, he can take the major heel role on Friday nights.

The Herald of Doomsday now has a rare second chance to make a good impression because they are no longer constrained by ridiculous ring gear.

Greater stars than Vince McMahon could have predicted will be Kross and Scarlett.

4. Drew McIntyre

Sometime in the upcoming year, Drew McIntyre will be able to forget the disappointment of never having competed as the WWE champion in front of a live audience.

In order to position himself as the top babyface on SmackDown and a figure around whom Triple H and WWE Creative can create programs without Roman Reigns, The Scottish Warrior has reemerged from midcard feuds with Happy Corbin and Sheamus. 2023 WWE Rankings.

At Clash at the Castle, McIntyre will take on The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and even if he loses in Cardiff, Wales, he will have at least one of the two titles Reigns now holds by this time the following year.

The Scot has put in the effort, is always in the lead, and can be considered a working champion who attends all house shows and makes weekly TV tapings. He is a fantastic representative for WWE and just tough enough to keep the crowd interested.

The next creative director is likely to realize that this is his moment.

If not right now, then most likely by August 2023, when WWE will hopefully be gearing up for another PPV in Europe.

3. Becky Lynch

After losing to Bianca Belair at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch changed her face and pretended to be changing back into The Man until the sad news of a separated shoulder and time off put a stop to everything. 2023 WWE Rankings.

When she does make a comeback, she will surpass her female competitors in the women’s division and reclaim her position as one of the most well-liked stars in the whole WWE. She will do so with the same attitude and vigor that propelled her to the top of the industry in 2018.

She will undoubtedly use the heels as well.

As she exacts revenge for a beating that forced her to quit the program, Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky will be on the schedule. Then there is the hotly debated match with Ronda Rousey, with whom Lynch had a protracted rivalry up to WrestleMania 35 until the fight was altered to become a Triple Threat with Charlotte Flair.

That battle screams “dream match,” and it may very well serve as the main event of one of the two Los Angeles evenings of WrestleMania 39. 2023 WWE Rankings.

Lynch will be back at the top of her industry, using her quick wit and incisive comments to trash her competitors and win over the public in the process, whatever awaits her creatively.

2. Roman Reigns

The top man in WWE is and has long been Roman Reigns.

He has become the biggest star in the business and the top attraction that so many people in the company anticipated he would become when he initially broke out on his own in 2014. He did this by adopting the Tribal Chief character, going through a heel change, and hiring Paul Heyman as his special counsel.

With a possible WrestleMania main event match against The Rock at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles the following year set to establish his place as the biggest star of his generation, that is unlikely to alter.

Over the coming year, his part-time schedule and absence from TV episodes will be noted, particularly as Triple H works to develop talents and position them for success.

The thought of removing the title from him and placing it on someone who can consistently attend and work PPVs each month rather than popping up for the largest and most prestigious shows, however, will be more acceptable to WWE. 2023 WWE Rankings.

None of that is intended as a criticism of Reigns. He has earned a reduced schedule at this stage in his career because of his evident ability. But if his TV appearances lessen over the course of the following year, he will lose ground.

1. Cody Rhodes

At WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE and was given a hero’s welcome by fans who were happy to see the former All Elite Wrestling executive rejoin the organization that had first made him famous in 2007.

The American Nightmare didn’t take long to establish himself as the company’s top babyface and as the man with enough support to unseat Roman Reigns as the WWE’s top dog.

He then had three consecutive matches that were contenders for Bout of the Year versus Seth Rollins, the last one taking place inside Hell in a Cell with a torn pectoral that grew worse throughout the course of the match.

As bizarre as it may sound, the accident may have actually been a blessing in disguise.

Rhodes did not stay in the public eye long enough to become boring or overused. When the Royal Rumble comes around in January, he will have made his second triumphant comeback in as many years after leaving due to injury at the height of his stardom.

In the event that The Rock vs. Reigns does not take place, anticipate the grandson of a plumber to dethrone The Tribal Chief and take over WWE as its top star. He will probably win the match bearing his name.

No matter who comes in second, his position at the top of this list feels like a no-brainer because of the support of the fans and management’s investment in him.
